Industry Season 3 Episode 6: A Recap and Review

The Long-Awaited Return

After a long hiatus, Industry season 3 returned with a bang. Episode 6, "Trench Warfare", was a tense and action-packed installment that left viewers on the edge of their seats.

In this episode, the team at Pierpoint & Co. is facing a major crisis. A high-profile client, the head of a sovereign wealth fund, is threatening to pull his business unless they fire one of their top traders, Harper Stern (played by Myha'la Herrold).

A House Divided

Harper is a brilliant and ambitious young trader, but she is also known for her outspoken nature and unconventional methods. Her colleagues are divided on whether she should be fired. Some, like Yasmin Kara (played by Marisa Abela), believe that she is a valuable asset to the team. Others, like Eric Tao (played by Ken Leung), believe that her recklessness is a liability.

The decision of whether or not to fire Harper falls to the managing director, Eric Neilson (played by Ben Lloyd-Hughes). Eric is a ruthless and ambitious businessman, but he is also fair-minded. He knows that Harper is a talented trader, but he also knows that she can be difficult to manage.

A Tense Standoff

The episode builds to a tense standoff between Eric and Harper. Harper refuses to be fired, and Eric is determined to get rid of her. The two of them go head-to-head in a verbal battle that is both exhilarating and terrifying.

In the end, Eric makes a decision that will have far-reaching consequences for Pierpoint & Co. But what that decision is, and how it will affect the team, remains to be seen.
