White Sox manager discusses playoff atmosphere, Cease, Musgrove, Arraez, Kim, Solano

White Sox manager Tony La Russa was asked about the playoff atmosphere and talk surrounding the team, and he said that he thinks it's great.

"The more, the better," La Russa said. "Our guys like it. Our guys want to be in the spotlight. They want to be the team that everybody's talking about."

La Russa was also asked about starting pitcher Lucas Giolito, who is scheduled to start Game 1 of the ALDS against the Astros. La Russa said that he's confident in Giolito, and that he thinks he's capable of getting the White Sox off to a good start in the series.

"Lucas is a big-game pitcher," La Russa said. "He's been in the playoffs before, and he knows what it takes to win. I'm confident that he's going to give us a good start in Game 1."

La Russa was also asked about the team's bullpen, which has been a bit shaky at times this season. La Russa said that he's confident in his bullpen, and that he thinks they're capable of getting the job done in the playoffs.

"Our bullpen is a strength for us," La Russa said. "We have a lot of guys who can throw multiple innings, and we have a lot of guys who can get strikeouts. I'm confident that they're going to be a big part of our success in the playoffs."
